Hakuoki Reimeiroku Blu-ray Box Special Price Edition

All twelve episodes of the third television series in the popular Bakumatsu dark fantasy Hakuoki arrive in a Special Price Blu-ray box. This series was produced in 2012.

The franchise began with the 2008 PlayStation 2 game Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan, followed by ports and fan discs, the first Hakuoki television anime, the second series Hakuoki Hekketsuroku, and the OVA Hakuoki Sekkaroku. Reimeiroku is the third television anime and a prequel to the previous stories. It reveals the past of each corps member, including new characters, in a tale of the young men who built the Shinsengumi and set out to become true samurai.

In February of the third year of Bunkyu, Ryunosuke Ibuki has been attacked by ronin and left collapsed on the roadside. Kamo Serizawa, traveling to Kyoto with the Mibu Roshigumi, takes him in. The Roshigumi gathers like-minded men who aspire to become samurai.

Toshizo Hijikata works tirelessly to make a name alongside Kondo, while Kamo Serizawa acts for the group yet behaves with brazen arrogance. Watching these two clash over what it means to be a samurai, Ryunosuke, who despises samurai, begins to question his own way of living. This is a story of the resolve of the men who would later be called the Shinsengumi.

The box contains all twelve television episodes. The cast features Tomokazu Seki as Ryunosuke Ibuki, Shinichiro Miki as Toshizo Hijikata, Shotaro Morikubo as Soji Okita, Kosuke Toriumi as Hajime Saito, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Heisuke Todo, Koji Yusa as Sanosuke Harada and Jouji Nakata as Kamo Serizawa.

The disc content is identical to the 2015 first-production limited Hakuoki Reimeiroku Blu-ray Box, catalog number GNXA-1487.
