Hanafushi - Kei Toume Art Collection

Hanafushi brings together Kei Toume's paintings of flowers and girls in kimono, revisiting an earlier collection in an expanded, redesigned edition. Seasonal subjects move from winter peonies and camellias through spring blossoms, roses, summer flowers and autumn chrysanthemums, including different rose compositions from 2015 and 2025.
The flowers and figures, painted separately with traditional materials, are shown alongside the finished compositions so that the stages of assembly can be compared. Original collaborative layouts from Monthly Afternoon are reproduced in full, together with newly drawn works, records of original-art presentations and fresh comments on the artwork and its making.
Published by Wani Magazine, this Japanese-language artbook contains 88 pages in a large-format edition measuring 29.7 by 22 cm.
