Hayabusa2: A Record of the Mission Blu-ray
はやぶさ2の記録
A record of teamwork. The asteroid explorer Hayabusa 2 returns to Earth in December 2020. Cameras meticulously record the actual exchanges inside JAXA's control room. You can follow the entire sequence with subtitles in two languages, Japanese and English. A secondary audio track also features members of the Hayabusa 2 team looking back on the events as they watch the footage. A deluxe forty-four-page booklet includes the Kochihaya manga edition and the mission schedule.
Hayabusa 2 project manager Yuichi Tsuda shares this message: 'To the children of the younger generation who will come after us, I hope you will use what we have done as a stepping stone to devise interesting missions and even more amazing space exploration missions. We are still a young team ourselves, so we will continue exploring space. Perhaps we might be able to work together with you on something called Hayabusa 3 or Hayabusa 4. Let us explore space together. Thank you.'
The approximately ninety-five-minute Blu-ray is presented in 16:9, with Japanese and English subtitles and Japanese commentary. The original Japanese audio is Linear PCM stereo at 48 kHz and 24 bits. The separate Japanese commentary is Linear PCM stereo at 48 kHz and 16 bits.
