He Won't Kill, She Won't Die Blu-ray
映画 殺さない彼と死なない彼女
A specially invited film at the thirty-second Tokyo International Film Festival, starring Shotaro Mamiya and Hinako Sakurai. A moving four-panel comic born on Twitter becomes a film: a new kind of love story that warmly embraces loneliness.
At your side, the world changes. Kosaka, played by Mamiya, is a boy who takes interest in nothing and spends his high-school days in boredom. He meets Kano, played by Sakurai, a girl who repeatedly harms herself and wants to die. Previously isolated from everyone around them, the two begin spending time together after burying a bee.
Through awkward exchanges, each finds someone warm who accepts them and stays by their side. Meeting such a person begins to heal their emotional wounds, and they start looking forward and moving ahead, but...
The main disc includes an audio commentary by Shotaro Mamiya, Hinako Sakurai and director Keiichi Kobayashi, along with a trailer collection. The cast also includes Yuri Tsunematsu, Mayu Hotta, Yume Yanai, Yutaro, Daichi Kaneko, Masaki Nakao, Ryo Sato, Aimi Satsukawa and Yoko Moriguchi.
The main film runs 123 minutes, with Japanese subtitles for the hearing impaired and an audio guide.
