High School DxD HERO Animation

High School DxD HERO brings the fourth television season to Blu-ray in a complete box. Adapted from the popular Fantasia Bunko light novels, the series combines determination, friendship, fantasy battles, comedy and romance. Following the anime’s debut in January 2012, this fourth season originally aired from April 2018, with returning characters joined by newcomers Kunou and Cao Cao.

Issei Hyodo is a student at Kuoh Academy whose life is taken because of the powerful Sacred Gear he carries. Rias Gremory, the senior student he admires, reincarnates him as a devil, but the price is a new life as her servant. As Akeno, Koneko and Asia draw closer to him, Rias’s rivalry with the three makes their relationships increasingly complicated.

Meanwhile, the Occult Research Club prepares for its Rating Game against the Bael family and for Issei’s school trip to Kyoto, a city where different mythological traditions coexist. Their plans to enjoy the sights soon give way to a conflict involving a faction of the Khaos Brigade and the supernatural beings living in the old capital. To protect the Kyoto that Rias loves, Issei seeks a new possibility.

The box contains all 13 episodes, with a new box illustration by original illustrator Miyama-Zero and a newly illustrated digipak by character designer Makoto Uno. A special booklet collects anime jacket artwork, design materials and eyecatch illustrations. Ichiei Ishibumi’s High School DxD 0 stories 1–4 are included again; the booklet and stories reuse material from earlier releases, with some re-editing.

Video extras bring back web previews, clean opening and ending sequences, promotional videos and commercials from the previous releases.
