Highlights: Kai Band & Kai Yoshihiro Limited Edition Blu-ray Box

Highlights brings together seven concert films from Kai Band and Yoshihiro Kai in a Blu-ray box, using HD upconversion for the archival footage. Two solo programmes sit alongside five major band performances, tracing different settings and stages of their live history. The collection follows the band's fiftieth-anniversary year and the release of Noir Midnight, their first entirely original studio album in sixteen years.

Disc 1, My Name Is KAI, features Brighton Rock, Cold Blood, Tokyo no Ichiya, Barairo no Jinsei, Kanransha, Against the Wind, Arashi no Kisetsu, Kaze no Naka no Hi no You ni, Juku no Haru, Tsubasa Aru Mono, Stage, Saigo no Yogisha and CRY, with Uwasa as a bonus track.

Disc 2, LIVE in HITEN DELUXE, opens with Denko Sekka BABY and a medley of Danny Boy ni Mimi wo Fusaide and Kawaita Machi. Night Wave, BLUE LETTER, Rain and Against the Wind are followed by the Midnight Plus One, I.L.Y.V.M. and Rainy Drive medley. The programme continues with Kaze no Naka no Hi no You ni, Genwaku Sarete, Kinpoge, Uragiri no Machikado, Trailer House de, LADY, Kori no Kuchibiru, Tsubasa Aru Mono, Cold Blood, HERO (Hero ni Naru Toki, Sore wa Ima), Hyakuman Dollar Night and Kono Yoru ni Sayonara.

Disc 3 presents Kai Band's Zettai Yakushiji Live. Its set comprises Yabureta Heart wo Urimono ni, Tsubasa Aru Mono, Fairy (Kanzen Hanzai), Kinpoge, Uragiri no Machikado, Season, Beautiful Energy, Kanashiki Surfer, Night Wave, BLUE LETTER, Koi no Vacance, Anna -2012-, Arashi no Kisetsu, Kori no Kuchibiru, Popcorn wo Hoobatte, Outlaw, HERO, Love Minus Zero and Hyakuman Dollar Night.

Disc 4, KAI BAND SYMPHONY, moves from its introduction into 25-ji no Tsuiseki, Brighton Rock, Rasen Kaidan, Beautiful Energy, Kaze ga Utatta Hi, Anna -2012-, LADY, Kinpoge and Blood in the Street. Tsubasa Aru Mono, Kori no Kuchibiru, Popcorn wo Hoobatte, Outlaw, Kaze no Naka no Hi no You ni, HERO, Arashi no Kisetsu, Yabureta Heart wo Urimono ni and Hyakuman Dollar Night complete the programme.

Disc 5, CIRCUS & CIRCUS 2019, opens with Kinpoge, Junkies Rock 'n' Roll, Ginyushijin no Uta, Tokyo no Ichiya and Minato kara Yatte Kita Onna. Uragiri no Machikado, Cinema Club, Telephone Neurosis, Beautiful Energy and Anna lead into a medley of Warui Uwasa and Danny Boy ni Mimi wo Fusaide. Kori no Kuchibiru, Popcorn wo Hoobatte, Tsubasa Aru Mono, HERO, Outlaw, Saigo no Yogisha and Bus Dori round out the set.

Disc 6, 45th ANNIVERSARY HEROES 2019, features Killer Street, Yaju (reprise), Dynamite ga Hyakugojutton, Rasen Kaidan, Night Wave, Season, Uragiri no Machikado, Sobakasu no Tenshi, Kanransha '82, Megalopolis Nocturne, Anna -2012-, Teenage Lust and Mittsu Kazoero. The closing sequence brings together Kori no Kuchibiru, Popcorn wo Hoobatte, Tsubasa Aru Mono, HERO, Arashi no Kisetsu, Kinpoge, Outlaw, Yabureta Heart wo Urimono ni and Stage.

Disc 7, 45th+1 ANNIVERSARY FINAL: Hyakuman Dollar Night in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, begins with Cold Blood, Mittsu Kazoero, Dynamite ga Hyakugojutton, Fairy (Kanzen Hanzai) and Hijo no License. Night Wave, Season, BLUE LETTER, Uragiri no Machikado, Beautiful Energy, Anna, Bus Dori, Karisome no Swing and Chikashitsu no Melody lead into Kinpoge, Kori no Kuchibiru, Popcorn wo Hoobatte, Tsubasa Aru Mono, HERO, Yabureta Heart wo Urimono ni, Arashi no Kisetsu, Outlaw and Hyakuman Dollar Night.

The seven discs have published running times of 98, 115, 113, 111, 91, 113 and 122 minutes, totalling 763 minutes. A replica backstage pass accompanies the boxed collection.
