Hiroko Yakushimaru Concerts

Hiroko Yakushimaru’s first concert tour, Hoshi Kiko, returns in a newly restored edition. Originally released in 1987, this film of her debut tour brings its fresh images and singing voice back to life thirty-six years later.

Working from the original master, the release uses the NEP Video Restoration Service to produce high-definition images with clarity comparable to 4K. The process draws on the technology developed by NHK Enterprises and places particular importance on the trained eyes of its experienced team, pursuing the most beautiful and natural-looking picture possible.

By adjusting restoration parameters to suit the content of each scene, the process achieves a level of quality that uniform format conversion has difficulty reproducing. Enjoy the vivid images and clear singing voice revived in this edition, made to preserve the performance for years to come.
