Hiyomi - Misaki Tanaka Illustration Collection
日読み
Hiyomi follows 365 days through Misaki Tanaka's observations of ordinary life. Unposed moments and the people within them carry small stories, inviting recognition, nostalgia and memories of familiar experiences.
Designed like a tear-off calendar, the collection generally gives each day its own illustrated page, with some images extending across a spread. New drawings appear alongside pictures accumulated through everyday life, each accompanied by a brief written observation or reflection.
The book also gathers all 31 installments of an illustrated essay series about the small dilemmas of getting dressed, together with comics. Published by Two Virgins, this Japanese-language hardcover contains 368 pages.
