Sayonara Lara Sony Music Labels Anime Music

Ikimonogakari performs the opening theme for Sayonara Lara, the original television anime that began airing in July 2026. The series celebrates the fifteenth anniversary of Kinema Citrus, the studio behind Made in Abyss, My Happy Marriage, The Rising of the Shield Hero and Revue Starlight.

Inspired by The Little Mermaid, the story follows the mermaid princess Lara as she awakens in Lake Biwa two hundred years later. Sharing its title with the anime, Sayonara Lara is a refreshing, mid-tempo song written and composed by Yoshiki Mizuno and arranged by Seiji Kameda.
