Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota Animation

Enjoy the gentle romantic comedy of Kashiwada, Oota and their classmates in this complete Blu-ray box. Fuyu Azuma’s manga began on X, formerly Twitter, and grew into a series with more than 400,000 books in circulation. The creator had around 230,000 X followers as of November 2025, while the work had attracted approximately twenty million views on Niconico Seiga.

Kashiwada’s expression never changes, whatever happens. Yet she is friendly and actively reaches out to Oota. The anime uses the possibilities of animation to convey the feelings hidden behind her unchanging face. Director Tomohiro Kamiya, whose credits include the Puella Magi Madoka Magica films, is joined by character designer Naoto Nakamura, known for High School Fleet: The Movie.

Kashiwada is a middle-school girl who never shows what she is feeling, while her classmate Oota has every emotion written all over his face. These complete opposites surely like each other… don’t they? The box contains all twelve episodes, presented in a special three-sided outer case with a booklet.
