Inuyasha Animation

“Together, we can fight. Together, we can protect.” The Inuyasha television anime, originally broadcast from 2000 to 2004, comes to Blu-ray box sets for the first time. Box IV, Gekitou-hen, continues the adventure with an enhanced widescreen presentation and the original television presentation, alongside clean opening and ending themes.

Kagome Higurashi, the daughter of a shrine family, slips through an old dry well in the shrine grounds and finds herself in Japan’s Warring States period. There she has a fateful encounter with the half-demon Inuyasha. Together, they become caught up in battles and conspiracies surrounding the Shikon Jewel, said to be able to grant any wish.

The set also includes Wind: Inuyasha Koukyou Renka — Symphonic Theme Collection, an album of orchestral arrangements of the series’ theme songs. Its contents match the album originally released on July 9, 2003. The hour-long special versions of the paired episodes are retained, and the original broadcast presentation preserves the screen format used at the time.
