Jinsei (Mumei no Jinsei) Blu-ray

Jinsei follows a man whose real name is never spoken by anyone around him through a turbulent hundred-year life. As a bullied child living quietly in a Sendai housing complex, he meets a transfer student and begins dreaming of becoming an idol, following in his father's footsteps. His unexpected rise leads to a life marked by both beauty and sorrow.

Ryuya Suzuki's independently created animated feature places that life against contemporary social problems, including elderly drivers, the darker side of the entertainment industry, unexplained deaths among young people and war. The story follows its protagonist toward a final sight unlike anything he has known. Rapper ACE COOL voices the central character, while Suzuki handles the original concept, direction, animation direction, art direction, cinematography, colour design, character design, music and editing. Kenji Iwaisawa is the producer.

The voice cast also includes Taketo Tanaka as Kin, Shohei Uno as Hiroshi, Tsubaki Nekoze as Kin's mother, Remi Tyon as Hime, Eri Kamataki as Yoko, Ryotaro Nishino of Synchronicity as Smile, Ayumu Nakajima as Kuzu, Katsuya Maiguma as Yamato, Miho Ohashi as Sakura and Kanji Tsuda as Shiratori.

The 93-minute feature is presented with Japanese Linear PCM 5.1 audio and no subtitles. A Japanese director's commentary is included in Linear PCM 2.0 stereo. Additional material comprises Director Suzuki x Mother: At Home Talk Session, the teaser and trailer, and Suzuki's short film Muhou no Ai.
