The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen began broadcasting in July 2023. Gege Akutami’s hugely popular comic, serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, had surpassed 70 million copies in circulation. The television anime returned to twenty-eight MBS and TBS network stations nationwide.

Across two consecutive cours, the season first explores Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto’s days at Jujutsu High in Hidden Inventory and Premature Death. The past in which Gojo and Geto parted ways, hinted at in the theatrical film, is finally revealed.

The story then turns to the Shibuya Incident, continuing the timeline from the first season. On October 31, a Curtain suddenly descends around Shibuya Station, crowded with Halloween revellers, trapping large numbers of civilians. Gojo heads into Shibuya alone to bring the situation under control, but the incident is a trap laid by Geto, Mahito and the other curse users and cursed spirits.

Itadori, Fushiguro, Kugisaki and their fellow Jujutsu High students, together with the jujutsu sorcerers, gather in Shibuya as a battle on an unprecedented scale is about to begin. The fierce story revolving around curses starts moving once again.
