Kakushigoto Special Edition Blu-ray with Bonus DVD

Kakushigoto adapts Yoru Sumino's novel into a coming-of-age story about five classmates, the feelings they conceal and the small, unusual abilities each keeps secret. Shun Nakagawa directs and writes the screenplay, with music by GRANDFUNK and CHANMINA's I hate this love song as the theme.

Shy high-school student Kyo Otsuka feels unworthy of attention, yet cannot stop watching his popular classmate Naoko Miki, known as Mickey. She seems carefree beside her unpredictable friend Kuroda, nicknamed Para. Through Kyo's best friend Hirofumi Takasaki, or Zuka, who has known Mickey since childhood, Kyo expects to remain merely a friend of a friend until graduation. When the quiet Miyazato, known as El, stops coming to school, the five students' guarded emotions begin to shift.

Daiken Okudaira and Natsuki Deguchi lead the cast, joined by Masaya Sano of Ae! group, Hinako Kikuchi, Ikoi Hayase and Hikorohi. Their intertwined relationships reveal how differently each person understands the same unspoken feelings.

The special edition pairs the 115-minute film on Blu-ray with a bonus DVD, a film-style card and an outer case. The main disc includes a teaser, trailer and audio commentary in which Daiken Okudaira, Natsuki Deguchi, Hinako Kikuchi, Ikoi Hayase and director Shun Nakagawa discuss the production. The bonus DVD contains making-of footage and event recordings from the completion screening, the pre-release eve celebration and the theatrical-release stage greeting. Video extras total approximately 103 minutes, including approximately two minutes on the main disc.

The film offers Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio in 5.1 surround and stereo, a Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio stereo audio-description track and Japanese subtitles. The bonus DVD has Japanese Dolby Digital stereo audio.
