Kamen Rider TV Series

Long-awaited by fans, the television series finally arrives in a negative-scan telecine 4K-remastered edition. Promoted as its finest picture quality and final video package, the original Kamen Rider ran for ninety-eight episodes from its memorable April 3,1971 premiere to the February 10,1973 finale.

Original 16mm negatives were scanned and remastered in 4K, then restored through work including removal of dust and scratches to create a high-resolution 4K HDR master. Drawing fully on the potential of the filmed images gives clarity like lifting away a veil. Rider masks, explosions and the landscapes of the time can all be enjoyed in remarkable detail.

This final box contains nineteen episodes. Series disc 13 includes 80–85, disc 14 includes 86–91 and disc 15 includes 92–98. Hiroshi Fujioka plays Takeshi Hongo, Jiro Chiba plays Kazuya Taki, Akiji Kobayashi plays Tobei Tachibana and Takeshi Sasaki plays Hayato Ichimonji.

The six-disc set contains the same 462minutes across three 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays in 4:3 2160p and three standard Blu-rays in 4:3 1080p, downconverted to 2K from the 4K-remastered material. Both formats provide Japanese Linear PCM monaural audio without subtitles. The jacket is newly illustrated by Yoshihito Sugawara. The first-press booklet is conditional and not guaranteed.
