“I’ll show you the continuation of the dream.”

Kamen Rider 555, the fourth series in the Heisei Kamen Rider era, is a legendary work that drove the popularity of Heisei Kamen Rider to its peak. Twenty years after its television broadcast, this film depicts what happened next in the story of humanity and the Orphnochs, an evolved form of human beings. Is this the continuation of a dream, or the beginning of despair?

Mari Sonoda, played by Yuria Haga, runs the Seiyo Sentakuho Kikuchi laundry while sheltering Orphnochs. With her are Jotaro, Keitaro Kikuchi’s nephew, played by Taiji Asakawa; Naoya Kaido, played by Mitsuru Karahashi; and Masato Kusaka, played by Kohei Murakami, who returned at some point. Meanwhile, Smart Brain, a company restructured by the government, has become an organization dedicated to exterminating Orphnochs, led by Kitazaki, played by Rei Fujita.

One day, to rescue an Orphnoch cornered by the extermination squad, Kusaka and Kaido become Kamen Rider Kaixa and the Snake Orphnoch. They fight the squad’s commander, Rena Kurumi, played by Rumika Fukuda, who transforms into Kamen Rider Muez. The man who suddenly appears is Takumi Inui, played by Kento Handa, who disappeared from Mari’s life several years earlier and had been missing ever since.

Takumi transforms into Kamen Rider Next Faiz, a different form from the former Faiz, and begins using his power as Smart Brain’s spearhead. Mari and her companions are bewildered as Next Faiz attacks them. Why is Takumi working for Smart Brain? What has he been doing? Their turbulent reunion is only the prologue to a new story involving the Orphnochs and humanity.
