Kamen Rider BLACK Blu-ray Box 3
TV 仮面ライダーBLACK Blu-ray BOX 3
This new-price edition was released to commemorate the production of the 2022 reboot Kamen Rider BLACK SUN. To mark the fiftieth anniversary of Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider BLACK was remade as a streaming series more than thirty years after its original broadcast. These Blu-ray boxes contain the original television series at a more affordable price.
The sinister organization Gorgom transforms two young men born on the day of a solar eclipse into Century Kings and makes them fight. The victor will become its ruler, the Creation King. Gorgom's aim is to destroy human society and build a world ruled by monsters.
Kotaro Minami and Nobuhiko Akizuki, who grew up as brothers, are abducted and transformed by Gorgom on their nineteenth birthday. Kotaro barely escapes and begins fighting as Kamen Rider BLACK to save humanity from the clutches of evil.
Box three completes the series with episodes thirty-five through fifty-one across three Blu-rays and 413 minutes of main-program footage. Disc seven contains episodes thirty-five through thirty-nine, disc eight contains episodes forty through forty-five, and disc nine contains episodes forty-six through fifty-one.
Disc seven includes Toei Television Hero Guide Volume 1: Kamen Rider BLACK, originally released on VHS and LaserDisc in April 1993 and not released on DVD. This compilation features newly recorded narration by Tetsuo Kurata and newly filmed material. Original broadcast previews for episodes thirty-eight and thirty-nine are also included. Disc nine contains the third part of the roundtable and the new-series preview for Kamen Rider BLACK RX.
The roundtable features Tetsuo Kurata as Kotaro Minami, Megumi Taguchi, also credited as Ayumi Taguchi, as Katsumi Kida, Hitomi Yoshii as High Priestess Bishium and Great Monster Bishium, producer Susumu Yoshikawa and director Yoshiaki Kobayashi.
