Publisher's introduction Reincarnated into an ideal world with no god!? An unusual otherworld-reincarnation story becomes a television anime. KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World, serialised to acclaim on Hero's Comiplex, is a bumbling-god fantasy written by Aoi Akashiro, whose varied work includes series composition for Classroom of the Elite, and illustrated by Hangetsubansonshou. The son of a suspicious sect's leader, Yukito Urabe, dies and is reborn in another world that has no concept of gods or religion. It is an ideal world for Yukito, but an unexpected incident has him running about to restore the power of Mitama, who calls herself a god! This unusual reincarnation story, told from a fresh perspective, began television broadcasting in April 2023. The original announcement advertised a wealth of extras, including a new novel by Aoi Akashiro as a first-production bonus, a special booklet and video extras. Blu-ray and DVD editions were released across three volumes, with outer cases newly illustrated by manga artist Hangetsubansonshou. This listing is Blu-ray volume 1 only; the other volumes and DVD editions are separate products.

Story Yukito Urabe, the son of the leader of a suspicious religious sect, loses his life during a ceremony called the Musubi Ritual and is reincarnated in another world. What awaits him there is the task of gathering followers to restore the power of Mitama, who calls herself a god. It seems the amount of power Mitama can wield changes according to the number of her followers. But that crucial number of followers is, incredibly, zero! "No way... I have far too few followers..." Mitama's power is needed to protect Kakuri, the village where Yukito is enjoying his life, from its enemies, and to develop the village. Seeking to restore her power, Yukito spends another day running about gathering followers through every means he can devise. Will Mitama gain followers? And can Yukito survive in this world? The bumbling-god fantasy in a godless world begins now.
