Kana Nishino, whose remarkable girlish voice emerged from an audition of 40,000, releases her third single. Style. encourages listeners to give meaning to each part of a world where it is easy to become just another cog, and to draw their own image. Its real lyrics reflect Nishino’s position at nineteen, wavering between childhood and adulthood, set to a moderately upbeat blend of electro and new wave.

The music is by Kazuhiko Maeda, whose wide-ranging J-pop work includes Crystal Kay, RSP and ET-KING. Style. is the July-season ending theme for Soul Eater, broadcast across TV Tokyo’s six-station network.
