Kao Dake ja Suki ni Narimasen Blu-ray

Sana loves a beautiful face, and her favourite belongs to Kanato Ugo, the striking blue-haired senior at her school. When she finally meets him, he makes an unexpected request: take over the school's social-media account. His repeated absences have left him facing expulsion, but reaching 100,000 followers will give him a chance to stay. Sana accepts the secret mission, determined not to reveal who is really running the account.

Keeping her admiration under control proves harder than managing the posts. Kanato's sudden hugs and near-kisses catch her off guard, and as she discovers the awkward, endearing person behind his looks, her feelings grow deeper. Then their classmate Doigaki notices the connection between them, complicating a relationship that is no longer simply between a fan and her favourite.

Adapted from Karin Anzai's Hana to Yume manga, this romantic comedy stars Ryubi Miyase as Kanato and Rinka Kumada as Sana, alongside Sota Nakajima of FANTASTICS and Reia Yonekura. Yasuji Yakumo directs from Kisa Miura's screenplay, with music by Koji Endo. ILLIT performs the theme song Almond Chocolate, its first original Japanese song.

The Blu-ray includes the 104-minute film and 140 minutes of supplementary material. The extras comprise a visual commentary, the Kaosuki fan meeting held with an advance screening, a digest of the opening-day stage greeting, making-of footage, a teaser and the main trailer in 15-second television-spot, 30-second and 60-second versions. Four instant-photo-style cards are enclosed.

The film is presented in 1080p with Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 options. A DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 commentary and Japanese audio description are also available. Japanese subtitles are provided for the main feature.
