Kashitaro Ito Niten Ichiryu CD
伊東歌詞太郎/二天一流
Kashitaro Ito returns with his third full album, his first nationally distributed solo album in two and a half years.
Its theme is roots: everyone has a hometown, yet something so familiar is not often considered afresh. During his nationwide street-performance tour in 2016, he visited more than twenty cities and shook hands with over 15,000 people. Everywhere he encountered smiling faces and love for the places people call home.
Alongside original songs born from those encounters, the album includes the upbeat S.O.S, created in collaboration with the smartphone RPG 18: Kimi to Tsunagaru Puzzle, and Kagami no Kuni no Alice, written for the arcade game Taiko no Tatsujin. IMAGINE was the image song for TASCAM MiNiSTUDIO, while EAT THE WORLD served as a programme theme for Gifu Broadcasting. The album consists entirely of original material.
