Ken Hirai Films Vol.16 Ken's Bar 2021 Online Regular Edition Blu-ray
平井 堅/Ken Hirai Films Vol.16『Ken's Bar 2021 - ONLINE -』 通常盤
After his twenty-fifth anniversary year, Ken Hirai's only solo performance of 2021 comes to video. Ken's Bar, an acoustic concept concert, is one of the central pillars of his live activities. Unlike an ordinary concert, the acoustic format combines original songs with covers of Japanese and overseas music. By turning the venue into a bar where listeners can enjoy music with alcoholic or soft drinks, it creates a special atmosphere.
Following 2020, the 2021 performance was held online. Filmed entirely in monochrome, its camera angles and other choices took advantage of the absence of an audience and attracted attention. Although Hirai described the selection as particularly specialized, this Ken's Bar offered a chance to rediscover the quality of each song. This regular-edition release preserves the concert's many attractions.
Act one contains #302, Last Dance wa Watashi ni, Oni ni Narimashita, the flower is you, Kimi no Suki na Toko, Shiranain Desho? and Shashin. Act two contains half of me, Now Romantic, Polyester no Onna, K.O.L., Kawaii no Yokai, KISS OF LIFE and Sentimental. The encore bonus is Taiyo in a color version.
