Kentaro Kobayashi Uruu Stage Play Blu-ray
小林賢太郎演劇作品『うるう』
Written, directed and performed by Kentaro Kobayashi, with music performed by Seigen Tokuzawa, Uruu finally comes to video. This stage work is performed only in leap years.
You want to be alone, yet you feel lonely. Funny, beautiful and a little sad, this is a story of friendship that has appeared on stage only in leap years. Its protagonist Yoichi is the world's sole Uruubito, a person left over. Living alone in a forest, he one day meets an eight-year-old boy named Majiru. Yoichi cannot accept the boy's insistent wish to become friends. What is the real reason Yoichi refuses to make friends?
Tokuzawa's live cello richly expresses the boy's emotions and the voices of the forest. Kobayashi offers children's literature for adults in this theatrical work.
