The Price of Smiles Stray Cats Anime Music

Created for Tatsunoko Production’s fifty-fifth anniversary, the original anime The Price of Smiles features an ending theme by Kimi no Orphee, the solo project of vocalist Ari, formerly of Mushi Furuu Yoru ni, whose lyrics have earned passionate support.

The song follows two heroines who cannot smile wholeheartedly for different reasons, and reaches out to listeners who struggle to show an honest smile in everyday life. Working around the idea of becoming your minstrel, Ari captures the anime’s world through lyrics recognised by leading musicians.
