Kimi to Yukite Saku: Shinsengumi Seishunroku Blu-ray Box
TV ドラマ 『君とゆきて咲く～新選組青春録～』Blu-ray BOX
The first screen adaptation of Osamu Tezuka’s hidden masterpiece Shinsengumi!
A vivid, fleetingly beautiful ensemble drama of youth brings a fresh style to the period drama, combining innovative sword-fighting performances with graceful sword dances unlike those seen in earlier productions.
This chronicle of the Shinsengumi’s youth centres on two young recruits created for the series, Daisaku Kamakiri and Kyujuro Fukakusa, who race like flashes of light through a chaotic age alongside historical figures such as Isami Kondo, Soji Okita and Kamo Serizawa.
After his father is killed by the sword, Kyujuro joins the Shinsengumi to hone his swordsmanship and avenge him. During the entrance test, he meets the cool-headed young Daisaku. Though his origins are unknown, Daisaku’s exceptional skill earns him a welcome as a promising new recruit. Living together, the two develop a passionate friendship, but the tides of their age gradually sweep them towards a tragic destiny in which they must fight to kill one another...
