Kishida Kyoudan & THE Akeboshi Rockets made their major-label debut in 2010 with HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD, the opening theme of the anime of the same name. This two-CD best-of brings together the original recordings of every anime theme the band had performed up to the album's release.
A newly recorded HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD (2021) joins re-recorded selections from earlier original albums and single coupling tracks. The first disc follows the anime themes, while the second revisits Night Watch, POPSENSE, World End Economica and other songs. The standard edition includes a thirty-two-page booklet with commentary on all the tracks.
