Two much-loved Kiteretsu Daihyakka opening themes share this seven-inch record. The anime adaptation of Fujiko F. Fujio's manga aired from 1987 to 1996; CHICKS' Suimin Busoku, its fifth opening from 1990, takes side A, while YUKA's Oryouri Koushinkyoku, the sixth opening from 1992, fills side B.
Suimin Busoku begins with a chime and follows a brisk ska beat, making its repeated hook immediately memorable. Oryouri Koushinkyoku uses a march rhythm and playful, recipe-like lyrics. Together they capture two of the programme's most recognisable songs.
The jacket reworks illustration material from the original eight-centimetre CD singles, pairing the two themes in a newly assembled record sleeve.
