Kiyokazu Arai 40th All Characters brings four decades of work into the artist's first artbook. Basic-kun characters and successive Famitsu Cross Review contributors appear alongside characters from Okhotsk ni Kiyu, Itadaki Street and Derby Stallion. New Mariko Morishita artwork is joined by numerous earlier illustrations of her.
The manga selection includes Otona Basic-kun and Foolish Gamers material omitted even from the complete edition, as well as Arai's Shonen Jump debut, Last Quick. An autobiographical essay looks back on the 1980s. Edited by Minoru Kubota and published by Shinkigensha, this Japanese-language collection contains 176 pages.
