Koi no Ibara Blu-ray

When two women who love—or once loved—the same man meet and an unusual friendship grows between them, a dangerous tale of revenge begins. Koi no Ibara is a girls’ revenge love story that reimagines a celebrated Hong Kong revenge romance from 2004 as a new story set in Japan in 2021.

Momo is a 24-year-old library employee. She has recently been dumped by her boyfriend, photographer Kentaro, bringing their relationship to an end. Even though she can no longer see him, she cannot stop thinking about him. Looking through his Instagram account, she discovers that he seems to have a new girlfriend.

From there, Momo finds the new girlfriend’s Instagram. The more she searches, the more she learns about Riko: a sophisticated, fashionable dancer who could not be more different from Momo’s own plain appearance.

Using Instagram to investigate Riko, Momo goes to meet her in person. Face to face, she proposes that they become secret accomplices. “Do you know what revenge porn is?” she asks. “I want you to delete the pictures of me saved on Kentaro’s computer.”

The ex-girlfriend, the current girlfriend and the man they were never meant to share: what thorny path of love awaits this distorted triangle?

The Blu-ray includes making-of footage and the trailer.
