Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible Upper Volume Blu-ray Box

Two steps before that feeling is called love. The popular Weekly Young Jump series, with more than 1.8 million copies in circulation, becomes a television anime!

Nene Yukimori's Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump, had surpassed 1.8 million copies across its eleven published volumes at the time of this release announcement. First-year high school student Junta Shiraishi is a background-character boy with absolutely no presence. Nobody notices him even when he is beside them, and although he attends every day, people routinely mistake him for being absent. Yet Kubo, the heroine-level beauty in his class, alone manages to find him and tease him. A sweet adolescent comedy about a background boy who cannot become special and the heroine girl who appears before him begins its television broadcast in January 2023, two steps before a romantic comedy.

The Blu-ray and DVD release was announced as two boxes, upper and lower, packed with lavish first-press bonuses. The digipak uses ending illustrations, with a newly drawn reverse-cover illustration by character designer Yoshiko Saito. An original drawing collection and original card set are enclosed in an outer box also newly illustrated by Saito. This listing is for the upper Blu-ray box only. First-press items are conditional and not guaranteed; CDJapan reports them no longer available.

Story First-year high school student Junta Shiraishi possesses a quality nobody else can imitate. People fail to notice him even at their side and mistake him for absent despite his daily attendance. He is a background-character boy with zero presence. He nevertheless leads a modest school life in his own way, with just one slightly troublesome complication: Kubo, the heroine-level beauty in his class, keeps finding him and teasing him. A background boy who cannot become special meets the heroine girl who appears before him. From a corner of the classroom, their youth slowly begins to take on colour. Anyone can become somebody's special person. But the two are still a little too young to give that feeling the name love. Two steps before a romantic comedy, a sweet adolescent comedy about a heroine girl and a background boy begins.
