In Edoropolis, animal-shaped robots called Animaloids enjoy a peaceful life until the Karakara clan begins disrupting the city. Pizza-shop workers Yattaro, Sukashii and Pururun secretly form the Nyankee ninja team, answering Wanko-no-Kami's call whenever trouble strikes. Their opponents are not simply street-level troublemakers: within Mecha Edo Castle, schemers plot to overthrow the government, sending elaborate plans and giant machines against the city's defenders.
This standard Blu-ray box brings together all 54 episodes of the 1990 Tatsunoko series Kyatto Ninden Teyandee, digitally remastered from film in HD for its 35th anniversary. The 1,226-minute series spans four discs in its original 4:3 framing. Kappei Yamaguchi, Jurota Kosugi and Ai Orikasa lead the cast, with music by Kenji Kawai.
Extras include clean opening and ending sequences and newly recorded audio commentary featuring Yamaguchi, Kosugi, Orikasa, series writer Satoru Akahori and producer Motoki Ueda. The digipak features new artwork by Animaloid designer Noritaka Suzuki. Main audio is Japanese Linear PCM mono, without subtitles.
