Kyohei Tsutsumi Song Book pays tribute to the composer, who died on October 7, 2020 at the age of eighty. With recordings of his songs selling more than seventy-five million copies, his work shaped Japanese popular music from the post-war growth years onward.
Satoshi Takebe, a direct protege who arranged Tsutsumi's songs, leads a production team including Seiji Kameda, Akimitsu Honma, Kiyoshi Matsuo and Yasuharu Konishi. LiSA, JUJU, Erika Ikuta, Little Glee Monster, Nobuteru Maeda, Takanori Nishikawa and Kenta Kataoka of sumika are among the participating singers.
The twelve-song selection includes Ningyo, Tokyo Lullaby, Momen no Handkerchief, Blue Light Yokohama, Sotsugyo, Mata Au Hi Made and Kimi Dake ni.
