Legend of the Galactic Heroes Animation

The first season, Encounter, and second season, Stellar War, of Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These come together in a Blu-ray box.

A long-awaited sequel was announced at the fifth-anniversary event in 2023. Revisit the series as you await further news and prepare to enjoy the continuing story in cinemas!

Thousands of years in the future, humanity has ventured into space and split into two nations with different political systems: the autocratic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance. Their conflict has continued for 150 years, with battles endlessly repeated across an ever-expanding galaxy.

As the war drags on, corruption within the Empire’s aristocratic society and the rule of the mob, an unfortunate consequence of democracy in the Alliance, eat away at both nations. At the end of the eighth century of the Universal Calendar, the arrival of two geniuses sets history in motion: Reinhard von Lohengramm, the “ever-victorious genius,” and Yang Wen-li, the “invincible magician.” Leading the Imperial and Alliance fleets, they clash time and again.
