Let's Make a Mug Too Animation

Let’s Make a Mug Too follows four high-school girls drawn into the world of pottery in Tajimi, a city in southern Gifu Prefecture celebrated for its traditional Mino ware. In Second Kiln, Himeno is discussing what to make next with her pottery-club friends when a visitor sweeps into the clubroom like a typhoon.

The series combines animation with live action. Broadcasts began on October 1, 2021 across CBC, MBS, TOKYO MX, BS11 and AT-X, with the original half-hour programme divided between an animated first half and a live-action second half. Minami Tanaka, Yu Serizawa, Yuki Wakai and Rina Honnizumi, who voice the four main characters, step out of the anime to introduce Tajimi and enjoy experiences in the city in Yakumo’s After School.

This initial limited-edition box collects all twelve anime episodes and all twelve live-action episodes. Its special features follow a walk along the Toki River, a search for photogenic places in Tajimi, strawberry picking, an extra-special coaster-making challenge and conversation in the dressing room. Clean opening and ending videos and the original soundtrack CD complete the collection.

The limited edition features a digipak newly illustrated by character designer Ayano Yoshioka, an original coaster, a set of original picture postcards and a special booklet.
