Life, like a game, is a succession of choices. With more than 900 million views and 6.8 million subscribers worldwide, the webcomic popular with young North American readers becomes a television anime about a woman discovering romance for the first time.

Software developer Sam Young, 22, has loved games since childhood. After devoting her student years to development, she finally releases her adventure-puzzle game RUMINATE. A harsh review from hugely popular streamer Marshall Law threatens her future as a creator—then he moves into the apartment next door.

Their encounter sets Sam’s relationships in motion, including those with her boss Charles Jones and childhood friend Link Hudson, who works at her favourite café. Raised by overprotective parents and inexperienced in love, Sam is bewildered by her growing closeness to the men around her, but gradually starts to break out of her shell. Can she clear the most difficult game of all: her own life?

The complete twelve-episode series comes with jacket artwork newly drawn by Ebimo, the illustrator with around 160,000 X followers, and a booklet. Bonus material includes creditless opening and ending sequences and three episode commentaries: Kana Hanazawa with Yuichi Nakamura for episode one, with Shinba Tsuchiya for episode two, and with Tomokazu Sugita for episode six.
