Life: Love on the Line Director's Cut Blu-ray

A moving love story acclaimed by viewers around the world: Life: Love on the Line returns in a director's cut that restores previously unseen scenes removed from the drama and follows the story all the way to its ending.

The original manga topped the Best Comic category at the 2018 Chil Chil BL Awards and ranked fourth in This BL Is Amazing! 2018. When its live-action drama began simultaneous worldwide streaming in June, its four episodes drew praise at home and abroad, with viewers moved to tears by its pure love and celebrating it as a landmark Japanese BL drama. The expanded director's cut was subsequently released in cinemas.

From high school to university and into adulthood, the story follows unwavering feelings through changing realities. Like the original manga, it traces an entire lifetime while gently exploring the joy, pain and conflict that anyone can experience when loving another person.

Story: Serious-minded Akira Ito and innocent Yuki Nishi meet by chance while playing a game of walking only on the white road markings on their way home from school. As they see each other every day, Ito gradually realises that he has fallen in love with Nishi.

Confused by his feelings for another boy and frustrated that their meetings remain confined to the white lines, Ito impulsively kisses Nishi. Regretting what he has done, he begins to avoid him. But Nishi continues waiting on the white line...

Extras include an audio commentary, outtakes and previously unreleased scenes, interviews, the drama's final-episode opening with Akira's narration, opening-day stage greetings and a trailer. The package also includes a booklet and Blu-ray-exclusive photo cards bearing handwritten messages.
