LION-GIRL (Karajishi Kamen) Blu-ray
映画 唐獅子仮面／LION-GIRL
A provocative superheroine rises from the chaos of a world on the brink of extinction. Combining outrageous fantasy, a daring costume and fierce action, LION-GIRL becomes humanity’s last hope in a spectacular live-action adventure built for an international audience.
In 2045, mysterious meteorites strike Earth. Enormous tsunamis destroy every continent, wiping out 99.9 percent of the surface and almost all living things. The Kanto Plain is the only surviving land. Renamed Neo-Nippon, it endures thirty years of civil war before its first shogun, Fujinaga, unifies the nation under a dictatorship.
Political oppression is not the survivors’ greatest danger. A mysterious light emitted by the meteorites spreads an infection, while those who survive its rays can become Anoroc: monstrous beings that prey on the remaining population. Into this nightmare steps Karajishi Kamen, humanity’s last guardian. She risks everything to save the little that remains of the world.
The extras explore the production through a making-of documentary, a conversation between the original creator and director, a creator’s video message, a visual and photo gallery, and a trailer collection. A director’s audio commentary offers another perspective on the film.
