Litchi Hikari Club 2025 Stage Blu-ray - Standard Edition

In a town shrouded in factory smoke, a group of boys gathers in an abandoned industrial building and calls itself the Hikari Club. Refusing to become the ugly adults they despise, they dream of eternal beauty and construct a machine named Litchi to serve their supposedly noble purpose. The capture of a beautiful girl becomes the beginning of their collapse.

Their idealism turns poisonous as betrayal, dependence and jealousy emerge. Aoto Tani's adaptation asks what love, hope and eternity mean to boys unable to accept the world beyond their desires. Based on Usamaru Furuya's 2005 manga, this fourth stage adaptation played 22 performances at Tokyo's IMM THEATER from January 10 to 26, 2025.

Hikaru Makishima plays Zera, Takumi Kizu Tamiya, Satsuki Nakayama Jaibo, Seiya Konishi Nico, Haruki Mochizuki Raizo, Sojiro Yoshimura Kaneda, Nayuta Fukuzaki Dentaku, Motohisa Harashima Duff and Kento Sakurai Jacob. Junko Nagao appears as both teacher Hagio and Tsunekawa's mother. Gaku Kato and Seira Ina share the role of Hiroyuki Tsunekawa in the production, while Kosuke Ozeki plays Litchi and Hinako Kikuchi plays Kanon.

The standard-edition Blu-ray contains the approximately 129-minute performance and around 85 minutes of extras on one disc. Supplementary programmes include making-of and backstage footage, plus a special discussion featuring Hikaru Makishima, Takumi Kizu, Satsuki Nakayama, Seiya Konishi, Haruki Mochizuki, Sojiro Yoshimura, Nayuta Fukuzaki, Motohisa Harashima and Kento Sakurai. A leaflet is enclosed.

The performance is presented in 1080i with Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo audio. Japanese subtitles are available for the main performance.
