Living-Room Matsunaga-san Blu-ray Box

Based on Keiko Iwashita’s manga, Living-Room Matsunaga-san is a romantic comedy about the rigid, romantically awkward Matsunaga and the sincere, hardworking Miko.

Jun Matsunaga is a capable 29-year-old graphic designer who cannot stand dishonesty. He shares a house with bartender Kentaro Suzuki, nail technician Asako Onuki and curry-restaurant part-timer Akane Hattori. One day, Miko Sonoda, the owner’s niece and a second-year high-school student, arrives with a request: let her live there.

Miko’s parents are moving to Wakayama to take over her mother’s family inn, but Miko cannot bear to leave her close friends. She wants to stay at her uncle’s house and continue attending her current school for the year remaining before graduation. University student Ryo Hojo also comes to view the share house that day, but ultimately does not sign a contract. After persuading her parents, Miko takes the vacant room.

The complete drama includes selected director’s-cut episodes. A separate bonus disc brings together making-of footage, first- and last-day filming moments, a roundtable with the six principal performers, and a tour of the living-room set with Kento Nakajima, Koji Mukai and Taiyu Fujiwara. An original booklet is included.
