The Case Study of Vanitas Epic Records Japan Anime Music

LMYK first appeared with Unity, the theme for the Japanese-dubbed release of The Legend of Hei. Her whisper-like singing is used as if it were orchestration, creating sound that seems to bloom into a visible garden.

Her second song becomes the ending theme for The Case Study of Vanitas, the latest work from the creator of PandoraHearts, a manga with more than 5.5 million copies in circulation. The adaptation drew anticipation even before its premiere through the involvement of the studio known for high-quality anime including Fullmetal Alchemist and Eureka Seven.

LMYK created both Japanese and English versions for the anime, with the English recording used mainly in English-speaking regions. Its elegant, gothic soundscape beautifully colours the steampunk world of nineteenth-century Paris. Responding to requests for a physical release, the CD also features her debut song.
