Love Begins When the Money Ends Blu-ray Box

Starring Mayu Matsuoka, this romantic comedy brings together a frugal woman devoted to both possessions and love, and an extravagant man, played by Haruma Miura, who is careless with money. Their frustratingly slow-blooming romance warms the heart.

Reiko Kuki, played by Mayu Matsuoka, works in the accounting department of a medium-sized toy manufacturer. She lives simply and is steadfast in her attachments. Her long-awaited day has arrived: after a year of admiring it, she has decided to buy a small dish priced at 1,680 yen. She has already arranged a handmade coaster for the dish in her room. Just when she is about to be united with her beloved dish, a flashily dressed man accompanied by a woman buys it before her eyes.

The man is Keita Saruwatari, played by Haruma Miura, the son of the owner of Reiko's company. His excessive spending enrages his father, company president Tomihiko Saruwatari, played by Masao Kusakari. To teach Keita about money, he transfers him to accounting.

Their reunion could hardly be worse, and Reiko is appointed to train him. Keita spends without remorse and is the exact opposite of Reiko. Astonished by his extravagance, she finds her peaceful daily life transformed. Circumstances then bring Keita to live in her home, where she discovers an unexpected side to him. Perhaps he is not a bad person at heart. Reiko begins teaching him how to use money properly, both at work and in their private lives.
