Love Flops Animation

As cherry blossoms dance, five winds of love blow through. An original television anime opens a new, bittersweet tale of youthful romance.

Asahi Kashiwagi is an ordinary high-school boy, the sort you might see anywhere in town. Without questioning his unchanging daily routine, he sets off for school—and finds himself caught in one mishap after another. Strangely, everything unfolds exactly as predicted by an odd fortune-telling segment he happened to see on television before leaving home.

Amid the mounting troubles, Asahi has what could hardly be worse first encounters with five girls. Exhausted in body and mind, he finally reaches school, only to discover that the same five people have arrived as transfer students or a new teacher.

He desperately tries to hide his face, but cannot keep himself concealed. Yoshio Ijuin, who calls himself Asahi’s best friend, asks about his relationship with the five. As they spend time together, the misunderstandings are cleared up and they begin to feel a little more at ease.

Among those he meets are the cheerful, straightforward Aoi Izumizawa; exchange students Amelia Irving from America, Ilya Ilyukhin from Bulgaria and Karin Istel from Germany; and Bai Mongfa, a new teacher from China.

After school, Asahi opens his shoe locker to head home and finds a love letter. Its anonymous sender asks him to meet beneath the cherry tree behind the school building. This, too, matches the fortune. Determined to discover what is going on, he heads towards the tree. In the season of falling cherry blossoms, a delicate, poignant story of five romances begins.

The edition features a specially illustrated slipcase and digipak, a special booklet, a sticker and audio commentaries.
