Lycoris Recoil Anime

The members of Cafe LycoReco return for six original short films about the small pleasures, surprises and misunderstandings of their everyday lives. Chisato, Takina and their friends take a brief pause from the larger adventures of Lycoris Recoil in a collection animated by A-1 Pictures under Shingo Adachi's supervision, with character designs by Imigimuru and music by Shuhei Mutsuki.

The programme opens with "Take it easy," written by Shingo Adachi and storyboarded and directed by Takashi Sakuma. "Miles away" follows, with Imigimuru's story draft, Adachi's storyboards and direction by Tsuyoshi Tobita. "Scintillation of genius" is written by Shu Mori and storyboarded and directed by Kota Mori. Yoshikazu Tominaga writes "Watch out!," with storyboards and direction by Takayuki Kikuchi. "Bittersweet first love" pairs writer Ken Yamamoto with storyboard artist and director Motoki Nakanishi, before "Brief respite" closes the collection with Adachi's screenplay and Masayuki Sakoi's storyboards and direction.

Chika Anzai returns as Chisato Nishikigi, Shion Wakayama as Takina Inoue, Ami Koshimizu as Mizuki Nakahara, Misaki Kuno as Kurumi, and Kosuke Sakaki as Mika. All six shorts are presented on one Blu-ray, running for 21 minutes with Japanese Linear PCM audio and no subtitles.

The Cafe LycoReco souvenir box includes a three-sided case illustrated by Imigimuru, five acrylic charms featuring newly drawn artwork, Imigimuru's illustrated story draft for "Miles away," seven line-art key-visual illustration cards, and a booklet.
