Mahiru no Tsuki - Shiromizakana Selected Illustrations
真昼の月 -白身魚 自選イラスト集-
Mahiru no Tsuki is the first collection of illustrations selected and arranged by Shiromizakana, the illustration pen name of animator Yukiko Horiguchi. Around 170 works from approximately twenty years are united by the artist's use of traditional materials, particularly watercolour and coloured inks.
Magazine covers and novel illustrations, including work for Comic Yuri Hime, Quarterly S and Kokoro Connect, sit alongside pinups, original pictures and rare student-era drawings. The selection also revisits artwork originally shared on the artist's personal website, with some pieces revised, redrawn or newly created for the book.
Collaboration and tribute illustrations range across KimiKiss, ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two, Higurashi When They Cry Matsuri, Little Busters!, Non Non Biyori, Fate/Grand Order, Sengoku Taisen, A Sister's All You Need, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Hiragana Danshi, 22/7 and the weather character Haru-chan. Published by Fukkan.com, this Japanese-language collection contains 140 pages.
