Masashi Ishihama Animation Works

Masashi Ishihama Animation Works is the artist's first collection of work as an animator, character designer, opening and ending director, and series director. Illustrations, character sheets, key animation and storyboards cover R.O.D, Welcome to the NHK, Welcome to the Space Show, From the New World, Persona 5 the Animation and Horimiya.

A dedicated section examines twenty-three opening and ending works through storyboards, key drawings and commentary on creative intentions and production. The titles span Tenamonya Voyagers, Speed Grapher, Kamichu!, Welcome to the NHK, Bleach, Night Raid 1931, A Channel, Beelzebub, From the New World, Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ravens, Magical Warfare, Encouragement of Climb Second Season, Autonomy, Psycho-Pass 2, Erased, Occultic;Nine, Granblue Fantasy the Animation, Saekano Flat, Persona 5 the Animation and Horimiya.

Other work includes anime-magazine illustrations and character designs for unpublished projects. A conversation with screenwriter Hideyuki Kurata and a separate career-spanning interview with Ishihama complete the collection. Published by Impress, this Japanese-language volume contains 256 pages.
