Memories gathers Kuuro Kuro's illustrations of female characters inspired by military machines, alongside related mechanical and character artwork. Images from MC Axis form the core, supplemented by work for other books and games. Many pieces have been refined since their original publication, and more than thirty are newly drawn or had not previously appeared in commercial publications.
The subjects span warships, submarines and small craft; tanks, artillery and firearms; and aircraft ranging from flying boats and airships to modern fighters, helicopters and support aircraft. Characters inspired by Saratoga, Maya, Leclerc and the F-16 appear within this wider selection. The contents also reach beyond military vehicles to the International Space Station and the IUE ultraviolet astronomy satellite.
Alice Gear Aegis artwork includes Mari Jinguji and Shirley Oakley, with a newly drawn illustration of Mari. This Japanese-language collection is published by Ikaros Publications.
