Minato's Laundromat TV Series

An encounter in an old laundromat changes two people's worlds.

A gentle boys' love story about a man approaching thirty who is afraid of love and an exceptionally sincere, handsome high-school student becomes a television drama. Devoted and pure, with no romantic games, this straightforward midsummer love story keeps the heart racing.

Akira Minato, played by Takuya Kusakawa, inherits the aging Minato Shouji laundromat from his grandfather. Even the air conditioning no longer works. After an exploitative company in the city damages his health, Minato returns to his hometown and leisurely runs the shop, which is loved by the local community.

One day, handsome high-school student Shintaro Katsuki, played by Sho Nishigaki, arrives as a customer. As they spend time together, the pair become close despite their age difference. Then, through an unexpected turn of events, Shintaro discovers that Minato is gay. Where will their love lead as they are drawn to one another beyond age and gender? A pure love story with a little midsummer warmth.

The four-disc box contains all twelve episodes, approximately 300 minutes of main-program footage and 106 minutes of extras. These include Gyutto Making: Minasho's Summer Memories, a special confidential dice-talk feature with Kusakawa and Nishigaki, an amusing and endearing blooper collection, and behind-the-scenes footage of the opening dance.

A sixteen-page booklet, one photo print and a sticker sheet with two designs are enclosed. The sticker designs feature a newly drawn illustration from the original manga and the SUSHI T-shirt motif.

The cast includes Takuya Kusakawa of Bullet Train, Sho Nishigaki, Tomoya Oku, Hana Toyoshima, Yu Inaba and Seiji Fukushi. Specifications may change without notice.
