Sanrio Boys Stage & Musicals

Miracle Stage Sanrio Boys returns after a year and a half with its third production, KAWAII Evolution, welcoming new cast members to the stage adaptation about boys who love Sanrio characters. The 2021 production ran at Shinagawa Prince Hotel’s Club eX in Tokyo from July 15 to 25, then at Kyoto Theatre from July 30 to August 1.

In the story, the Sanrio-Loving Boys Audition selects thirty outstanding Sanrio Boys through a public vote, with Sanrio offering to fulfil the dreams of the top five. Pompompurin fan Kota Hasegawa and his friends join in, but fail to make those coveted places. They congratulate each other and insist that rankings do not matter, yet privately they cannot quite accept the result. Then a mysterious invitation arrives: the Number One Sanrio Boy Championship is about to begin. Their competition to prove their love for Sanrio starts here.

The Blu-ray pairs the stage performance with supplementary footage from the visual shoot, rehearsals and backstage, together with recordings made on the cast camera.
