Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway — Standard Edition Blu-ray

That flash is humanity's hope. The hit film Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway comes to Blu-ray after surpassing 2.1 billion yen at the box office and one million admissions! Thirty-three years after Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, released in March 1988 and depicting Amuro and Char's final battle, Yoshiyuki Tomino's novel inherits its world and receives its long-awaited film adaptation. Based on Tomino's original novel of the same name published in 1989, this direct continuation of the Universal Century story was once said to be impossible to adapt. It is brought to animation as a trilogy of theatrical films. The new struggle of the anti-Earth Federation movement Mafty forms one axis of the story, while the intersecting destinies of its leader Hathaway Noa, the mysterious beautiful Gigi Andalucia and Federation Colonel Kenneth Sleg form the other. It is described as one of the Universal Century's most shocking stories. An accomplished staff comes together under Shukou Murase, directing a Gundam title for the first time. Murase designed the characters for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, served as animation director on Mobile Suit Gundam F 91, and earned high acclaim in Japan and abroad for his recent directorial work Genocidal Organ. Yasuyuki Muto of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn writes the screenplay. The production delivers high-quality imagery on a grand scale befitting a Gundam film for a new era.

Story A vivid flash marks the beginning of a new world. Twelve years have passed since the Second Neo Zeon War, Char's rebellion. The year is U.C.0105.
