Shima Shinya launches Void: No. Nine in Monthly Comic Beam's August 2023 issue, with cover artwork and opening color pages. The new series follows nine people gathering in search of relics from an old world, giving this issue a strong science-fiction starting point from the creator of Lost Lad London.
Several other beginnings appear alongside it. Tori Tomato starts Genmetsu Camera and contributes the first part of Mita-kun wa Daijoubu, while Ruu 1mm opens Shuumatsu, Kimi to and Ayako Hatori begins Watashitachi no Blue Hour. Pierre Tezuka's Gokushinka reaches its final chapter. Continuing works include EVOL, SPUNK, fish and Nick and Lever, making this 648-page Japanese anthology an especially varied snapshot of the magazine's creator-led comics.
